Description of Port

Nemtas owns the well modernized port facilities in Nemrut Bay. Nemtas has an annual capacity of 2.500.000 DWT and capable to berth two vessels of 50.000 DWT each and two vessels of 5.000 DWT at the same time loading and discharging Iron and Steel Products of Ironworks at site.

Working Hours: Port operates 24 hours a day year round,

Pilotage

Is compulsory for vessels entering or leaving the ports provided by the Uzmar Pilot thru VHF channels 16 & 10. Vessel(s) to give notice three hours before arrival at the bay.

Cargo Handling Equipment

Mostly by vessels' own gear or mobile cranes.

There are two shore cranes facilities. (2 x 12.5 Metric Tons) and mobile cranes available for hire.

Pier can provide very fast loading & discharging operations. Rate for Iron & Steel Scrap metal is between 3.000 to 7.000 Metric Tons / Day.
