Anchorage:

Please see "Gulf of Izmit" [Information on best location of anchorage will be given by Pilot station].

Pilotage:

Pilotage is compulsory in the Gulf of Izmit from Darica to the Kızılkaya Pier. Pilotage is also compulsory for berthing and unberthing and anchoring.

Pilotage is provided by the Dekas Pilot.

Pilot Contacts are VHF channels 12 & 16.

Towage:

Towage and/or mooring boat is compulsory and arranged by pilot and provided by the the Med-Marine.

Berthing:

Up to 50.000 DWT vessels are acceptable by Kızılkaya Pier.

Height of berths from sea is 2.75 meters.

Maximum Permissible Load is " 0.1 MTS/cm².

Cargo Handling Equipment:

• 5 Mobile Cranes 20 - 35 - 75 - 100 - 110 MTS SWL (Possibility to rent more powerful)

• 2 Loaders and bulk cargoes.

• Weigh Bridge 2 x 80 MTS.
