The pier is managed by the Municipalities.
Restrictions
Berthing in
daylight and un-berthing 24 hrs. After sunrise until sunset. If necessary can
be effected 24 hours loading/discharging operation.
Maximum Size: DEPTH/LOA/DWT: 12 m./220 m./40.000 DWT
Pilotage
Pilotage is
compulsory for berthing and un-berthing and anchoring.
Pilotage is
provided by the GEMPORT Pilot
VHF channels 14,
71 or 16.
Towage
Towage and/or
mooring boat is compulsory. Service is arranged by pilot and provided by the
GEMPORT.

Anchorage Areas
An open pier,
anchoring 5 - 6 cables off the pier.
Information on
best location of anchorage will be given by Pilot station.
Cargoes Handled:
This pier is comparatively small and are general limited to a small volume of coastal traffic serving the local needs of provincial towns.

There are no storage facilities.

Berthing
The ships berthed to pier usually have to utilize their own gear for loading and discharging. Mobile cranes can be hired privately to load/discharge up to 200 Tons SWL. The stevedoring services through private contractor.
