Location and Description of the port:

Port is located between ISKENDERUN and ISDEMIR Ports, consisting of a total open area of 100000 m².

Port has a small Custom Bonded Storage Area of 365 m², besides an open Storage Area of 38000 m² and closed storage area of 15000 m². Nature of sea bottom of the port is "Sand".

Private pier is owned by the Ekinciler Industrial Group, established to primarily serve their own Iron and Steel Plant established at the same location, however, third parties are also allowed to utilize the port/pier.

EKINCILER Port operates 24 hours a day during year round, works in 3 shifts of 8 hours each. Stevedoring Services at the port is given by 3rd Party Contractors. Lashing/Unlashing gangs are available.

Sea water density is 1.028 gr/cm³

Anchorage:

Anchorage area of the port is In front of the pier. However, information on best location of anchorage will be given by Pilot station.

Pilotage:

Pilotage is compulsory for the vessels entering or leaving the EKINCILER port and the service is provided by the Dekas Pilot.

Towage:

Towage is compulsory and 3 tug boats are available and provided by the the MedMarine Romorkaj.

Berthing:

EKINCILER Port consist of 1 Dock Style pier that both sides can be used for berthing at the same moment and can accommodate 40000 to 50.000 DWT vessels.

Height of the piers from the sea level is 4.60 meters. The distance between the bollards is approxima-tely 22 meters.

• Iron & Steel Scrap: 6.000 MTS/Day,

• Iron & Other Minerals Ore: 5.000 MTS/Day,

• Iron & Steel Billets: 5.000 MTS/Day,

• Steel Bars [De-Bars, Re-Bars]:  8.000 MTS/Day,

• Cargoes in bag: 3.500 MTS/Day.

• Grain: Depends on the handling equipment to be provided by the cargo owners/vessels.

Air Access:

Air access is available. The nearest Airport is located at city of Adana with a distance of 110 km from the port [about 1 hour and 15 minutes distance with regular highway traffic conditions, may be extend up to 2 hours during rush hours/days].

Land Access:

Connected to the country with a highway network. Port is at about 15 minutes distance to the city of Iskenderun and 1 hour distance [about 100 km] to city of Adana.
