Pilotage:

Pilotage Is compulsory for vessels entering or leaving the ports provided by the Uzmar Pilot.

VHF channels 16, 10 Notice to be given three hours before arrival of the vessel at the bay.

Towage:

Towage is provided by the Uzmar Pilot round the clock.

The jetty is well fendered. Mooring is assisted with the aid of lifeboat.

Cargo Handling Equipment & Handling Rates:

Mostly by vessels' own gear.

There are “Mobile Crane” facilities for rent.

Very fast operations. For Iron & Steel Scrap: 3.000-5.000 mt/day depending on number of Shore (Mobile) Cranes hired.
