DESCRIPTION OF THE PORT:

Pier is situated on Dardanelles straits at Asian coast close to Canakkale city center. Operates 24 hours a day year round.

ANCHORAGE AREAS:

Vessels may anchor in depths of 12 to 16 fathoms (see straits anchorage areas).

Information on best location of anchorage will be given by Pilot Station.

PILOTAGE:

Pilotage is compulsory for berthing and unberthing and anchoring, provided by the TDI [The Turkish Maritime Organization].

Towage and/or mooring boat compulsory arranged by pilot and provided by the TDI (The Turkish Maritime Organization).

BERTHING:

Agents require at least 24 hour notice to arrange berthing at Canakkale pier.

(*) This pier is only used for domestic ferry calls.

There is not any available Cargo Handling Equipments. Vessels have to discharge/load by their own means.
