Administration

The platforms and mooring buoys are mostly used in common by:

Ø      Mobil,

Ø      Shell,

Ø      Aygaz,

Ø      Petrol Ofis,

Ø      T.E.K. and

Ø      BP

Therefore the administration may become either one of those companies depending on the ownership of cargo loader or discharged.

Location and Description of the port

Ambarlı is situated at the western skirts of İstanbul within a distance of about 40 km.

Black and white products as well as chemicals and LPG are handled.

Compulsory. Provided by Turkish Maritime Organization

Towage

Ø      Not necessary for up to 1 500 GRT.

Ø      1 tugboat compulsory up to 5 000 GRT.

Ø      2 tugboats compulsory for 5 000 and above.

Tugboats fees are doubled due to the installations being outside the port limits.

Ø      Container facilities:  Unavailable

Ø      Bulk handling facilities: A 20 000 ton capacity reinforced concrete silo is available and has a conveyor connection with the quay.
